Streaming Service Shutdown Disrupts Independent Pro Wrestling

In a surprising twist that has left the wrestling community reeling, Pivotshare, the streaming platform that provided a virtual home for many independent pro wrestling companies, is set to cease operations on July 31, 2023. The announcement has sent shockwaves across the industry, affecting fan access to beloved promotions like NorthEast Wrestling, Progress Wrestling, and the HighSpots Wrestling Network.

Pivotshare served as a hub for wrestling enthusiasts to engage with their favorite promotions and content creators. For fans of NorthEast Wrestling in the US and Progress Wrestling in the UK, this development means a sudden halt to their streaming services. The HighSpots Wrestling Network, a staple for wrestling content, is also among the affected platforms, leaving fans in limbo.

In a notice released by Pivotshare, they shared, "On July 31, 2023, we will unsubscribe all users from all active subscriptions. Channels and all paywalled videos will remain available through the end of August, after which channels will be decommissioned and unavailable to the public." This abrupt move has taken both fans and content creators by surprise.

Pivotshare's decision has sparked a flurry of responses from wrestling companies. NorthEast Wrestling is actively seeking alternatives to continue delivering their action-packed content, while Progress Wrestling has opted to take matters into their own hands by launching their own streaming service.

The wrestling community has shared its disappointment, as Pivotshare provided a valuable platform for content creators to connect with their audience. As the digital landscape of independent wrestling shifts, companies and fans are left navigating uncharted territory, searching for new avenues to enjoy the sport they love.

As the final days of Pivotshare approach, fans are urged to make the most of the remaining content. The wrestling world will be watching closely to see how promotions adapt to this unexpected shake-up and continue delivering the excitement that fans crave. Stay tuned for updates as the independent wrestling landscape evolves in response to this seismic change.

Journey from Superfan to In-Ring Debut

In a heartwarming tale of passion and determination, wrestling's youngest superfan, Izzy Moreno, stepped into the ring for her very first match against Jasmine Allure at Mission Pro Wrestling on September 12, 2023. At just 16 years old, Izzy's journey from WWE superfan to wrestling debutante is an inspiring story that captured the hearts of fans worldwide.

Known far and wide as WWE Superstar Bayley's devoted superfan, Izzy's entrance into the wrestling world holds a special significance. Her ring gear, adorned with inspirations from her hero Bayley, paid homage to the wrestler who had ignited her passion years ago. WWE fans might remember Izzy from her ringside appearance during Bayley's legendary match against Sasha Banks at NXT Takeover: Respect in 2015, a moment that solidified her connection to the sport.

With the support of her hero, Bayley, Izzy stepped into the ring with a tweet from the former champion herself, "If you couldn't tell by this past Saturday at #Summerslam, I BREED CHAMPIONS." Izzy's response reflected her unwavering determination, "Thank you for being my hero! I can only hope to inspire another person the way you inspired me… and yeah, I'll get that win!!"

Izzy's presence isn't confined to the ring; she's also a prominent member of the pro wrestling media community. Hosting her own YouTube show and seen in AEW and WWE media scrums, her enthusiasm for the sport knows no bounds.

Mission Pro Wrestling, America's premier pro wrestling company founded by former AEW Women's Champion Thunder Rosa, provided the stage for Izzy's debut. Despite facing a pinfall loss in her debut match, Izzy's emotional entrance was a testament to her dedication and the years she spent training. On Busted Open Radio on Sirius XM, she revealed training for eight years, highlighting the immense effort she invested to reach this milestone.

As the wrestling world applauds Izzy Moreno's debut, we join in welcoming her to the wrestling family. Her journey from fan to wrestler reminds us that dreams can be realized through unwavering dedication, determination, and the belief that anything is possible. Congratulations, Izzy, and may your wrestling journey continue to inspire fans and fellow aspiring wrestlers alike. Follow her career on social media @Izzymania on Instagram and Twitter.

The Curious Case of TJ Marconi’s Photo

Picture this: a rainy day in Brooklyn, and I'm out for a leisurely walk, lost in my thoughts. As I walked along a random street, I glanced toward a tree and did a double-take. There it was, a canvas photo of independent pro wrestler TJ Marconi, leaned casually against the tree as if waiting for someone to claim it.

Raindrops danced on the surface of the photo, yet it looked surprisingly untouched, almost pristine. I couldn't wrap my head around the sight – was this really happening? My mind raced back to the days of Bodyslam Wrestling Organization in NJ, where TJ and I shared the wrestling ring and forged memories that felt like a lifetime ago.

I had to be sure it was him, so I pulled out my phone and navigated to TJ's Instagram page. Unable to contain my astonishment, I shared the discovery on Instagram with the caption, "Of all the random things I’ve ever seen in my life. I stumbled upon a photo of @tjmarconi just sitting on a Brooklyn street. Talk about random finds! BTW Support independent pro wrestling." Little did I know that this chance discovery would spark an adventure.

A sigh of amazement escaped me as I saw TJ’s comment, "Where did you find this?" It was a surreal connection, a tangible bridge from our wrestling past to this unexpected present.

With a touch of excitement, I ventured back to the location to retrieve the canvas photo – only to find it had vanished, as if it had never been there. It was a twist worthy of a wrestling storyline itself, leaving me equal parts bewildered and amused.

Through this whimsical tale, I was reminded of the intricate threads that weave the world of independent pro wrestling. TJ Marconi, a familiar face from the past, continues his journey in the New Jersey wrestling scene, collecting belts and etching his name in the annals of the sport. And in the heart of Brooklyn, I stumbled upon a snapshot that brought memories flooding back and showcased the magic of unexpected connections.

While the canvas photo may have disappeared into thin air, the story remains a testament to the intriguing twists and turns that life – and wrestling – often takes. Who would have thought that a rainy Brooklyn street would become the stage for a tale as unexpected as any wrestling match?
