Beyond PWI 500

In the realm of professional wrestling, one publication has stood the test of time as the ultimate ranking of talent – the PWI 500. For years, this list has been the yardstick by which wrestlers measure their success and worth. It's a prestigious list, a dream for many, and an annual tradition that sparks endless debates. But what about those who never quite made the cut?

When I first laced up my boots and ventured into the world of wrestling, the PWI 500 was more than just a list; it was a symbol of validation. Like so many others, I dreamed of one day seeing my name among the elite 500 wrestlers in the world. But alas, I never did. Perhaps it was because I hadn't logged enough matches, or maybe the wrestling gods simply had other plans. Still, I would often quip that I was "number 501" with a wry smile.

One thing is certain – the PWI 500 is a unique and comprehensive compilation of the world's top wrestlers. It encompasses talent from all corners of the globe, and for independent pro wrestlers, it's both a beacon of aspiration and a reminder of the long road ahead.

At the pinnacle of this prestigious list, you'll often find the familiar names of WWE and AEW superstars. Their exploits on the grand stage undoubtedly earn them those coveted top spots. But what about the unsung heroes, the ones who ply their trade on the independent circuit, grinding night after night in gymnasiums and community centers? They may not have the global spotlight, but they possess a talent and dedication that's second to none.

Every independent wrestler knows the value of a little recognition – a nod that validates the countless hours of training and dedication poured into their craft. It's in this spirit that I've contemplated the idea of Independent Pro Wrestling Weekly launching its own list, the "IPWW 25." This list would celebrate the top 25 independent pro wrestlers in the world, acknowledging their hard-earned place in the industry.

While I might not have made the PWI 500, I've worked alongside incredible talents who have graced that list. To my friends and colleagues who achieved this milestone, I extend my heartfelt congratulations. Your dedication and talent shine brightly.

To those who didn't find their names among the 500, remember this: a list doesn't define your worth in the ring. Your journey, passion, and commitment are your true markers of success. Keep striving, keep wrestling, and keep your eyes peeled for opportunities to submit to the IPWW 25 when it launches in the future.

In the end, it's not about the number beside your name on a list; it's about the legacy you leave in the ring and the impact you make on fans worldwide. Wrestling is about heart, soul, and the moments that take our breath away – and that's something no list can fully capture.

WWE Tag Team Reunited at HOG

In the world of professional wrestling, certain moments have the power to reignite the passion of fans and bring a touch of nostalgia. Last weekend at House of Glory's "Fallout" event, such a moment unfolded as The Vaudevillians made an unforgettable return to the ring, capturing the hearts of fans once again.

For those unacquainted with The Vaudevillians, this unique tag team consisting of Aiden English and Simon Gotch first made waves in the grandeur of WWE. They brought a bygone era's charm into the modern wrestling world with their old-school aesthetics, complete with dapper attire and twirling mustaches. The WWE Universe embraced their vaudevillian-inspired antics, making them a memorable part of WWE's tag team division.

However, as the wrestling world often dictates, their paths eventually diverged, taking them on separate journeys away from the WWE. Aiden English ventured into solo competition, displaying his vocal talents and charisma, while Simon Gotch continued to make his mark on the independent wrestling scene.

But last weekend at House of Glory's "Fallout," fans were treated to a delightful surprise. The Vaudevillians, who had once graced the WWE's squared circle with their presence, reunited for a common goal. Their mission: to challenge the HOG Tag Team Champions, Mane Event, in their very first Tag Team Championship defense.

What unfolded in the ring was nothing short of extraordinary. The Vaudevillians hadn't missed a beat, seamlessly blending their unique charisma and in-ring skills. Mane Event, the reigning champions, found themselves pushed to their limits, creating an electrifying atmosphere for the audience.

For fans who cherished The Vaudevillians during their WWE tenure, this reunion was a moment to savor. It reaffirmed that the magic they created in the WWE was still very much alive in the independent wrestling circuit.

As the dust settles from "Fallout," House of Glory is already looking ahead to its next event, aptly named "Friday the 13th." Set to take place on Friday, October 13th, this promises to be another night of exhilarating wrestling action.

For those who missed out on the excitement of "Fallout" or wish to relive the incredible moments, House of Glory is offering the chance to watch the event in its entirety HERE

The Vaudevillians' return is a testament to the enduring appeal of talented performers and the world of independent professional wrestling, where surprises like this continue to remind fans why they fell in love with the sport in the first place. Stay tuned for more updates and announcements from House of Glory as they continue to deliver memorable moments in the world of independent pro wrestling.
